• To enforce our Terms & Conditions, investigate disputes, and act on reports of misconduct.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset). We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
• To improve and maintain the platform through aggregate analytics.
• To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

3. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Uploaded files are stored in a restricted-access file system.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for the resolution of ongoing disputes.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we implement appropriate technical safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

• With other users where necessary for platform features (e.g., your squad name and results are visible to tournament hosts and participants).
• With service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, WebSocket broadcasting) under strict confidentiality obligations.
• With Discord for community integration, where you have opted in.
• With law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by applicable Pakistani law.
• In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — you will be notified before data is transferred.

5. Cookies

We use browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to store your authentication token and preferences such as dark/light mode. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.

You can clear your localStorage at any time through your browser settings, which will log you out of the platform.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data through your account settings.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Object to processing of your data for non-essential purposes.
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).

7. Children's Privacy

PakEsports is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active users via an in-platform notification. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
